So often the task of building a
custom home is a tedious one. In our
case, with the excellent General
Contractor management of Joel DeTar
Construction, we had a very smooth
experience.
From the initial ground-breaking,
which entailed lots of hard rock work,
to the foundation work on our steep
building site, great care was taken to
remain on schedule and budget. With
the outstanding involvement of Bryan
Drye as our site Project Manager, we
rapidly progressed through the project.
During the finishing stage, we got to
know many of the excellent sub-
contractors. All worked with great
standards that the Joel DeTar team
expected from them.
In the end, we came in within about
3% of our estimated cost and on time.
Given the uncertainties of the building
process we were quite pleased with the
job that everyone did. Further, we have
been very grateful for the diligent
follow-up over the past two years since
the home was built.
